Single Dental Implants, Smaller Implant Supported Bridges, Full Arch Restorations with 6 implants and Ceramic Teeth | 2 Trips over at 4 to 6 months (in most cases).

The 4-6 months is needed for implant healing time (osseointegration). The implant surgery is on the first trip and the crowns and/or bridgework on the implant(s) is completed on the second trip after the implant has healed to the jaw bone. Placing a permanent crown or bridge on a newly placed implant(s) can lead to higher rates of implant failure therefore the healing time to make sure the implant is firmly in the jaw bone before the restoration is loaded (attached) to the implants.

Dental Implant costs 50,000 Thai Baht (approx. $1,675 at today’s currency exchange). The abutment and implant-crown costs 25,000 Thai Baht (approx. $839 at today’s currency exchange).

Implant Supported Bridges are quoted per case.

Most dental implant surgeries can be completed in 7 to 10 days for the first trip including bone grafting when needed. Sinus Lift surgery can take up to 21 days to complete. Bone Grafting and Sinus Lift costs determined from the OPG dental x-ray.

Immediate Loading Dental Implants (All-on-4, All-on-5, All-on-6 Systems) | 10 days.

Immediate Loading Implants are popular because a 10-12 unit prosthesis (teeth) can be loaded (attached) to 4, 5 or 6 implants within 10 days. Immediate loading systems are indicated for full denture wearers looking to upgrade to implants or people who have been told that they need a full denture by their dentist due to severely compromised teeth. Not everyone is a candidate for Immediate Loading Systems and every treatment must be evaluated by an OPG x-ray on a case by case basis since cases can vary. In most cases bone grafting is not needed with Immediate Loading Systems, but in some All-on-4, All-on-5, All-on-6 cases bone grafting may be needed.

All-on-4 costs 350,000 Thai Baht (approx. $11,720 at today’s currency exchange)

All-on-5 costs 400,000 Thai Baht (approx. $13,395 at today’s currency exchange)

All-on-6 costs 450,000 Thai Bath (approx. $15,069 at today’s currency exchange)

The treatment durations listed above are guidelines and apply to non-complicated cases.  An important tool in planning the dental work in Thailand is the OPG dental x-ray. OPG dental x-rays make quoting root canals, crowns, bridges, veneers and implants possible. OPG x-rays also help dentists determine if a person is a candidate for a treatment (Immediate Loading Implants is one example, veneers is another where someone may not be a candidate for treatment). OPGs also help rule out any complications that could delay or extend the treatment time. Usually, dental travelers to Thailand have already seen a local dentist for an opinion and received an OPG dental x-ray from their local dentist that they have forwarded to Thailand for evaluation before the trip.
