A Dental Bridge bridges the gap - left by a missing tooth - between teeth. The teeth on either side of the gap (called abutments) are crowned to support a bridge unit (called a pontic) in the middle, the pontic fills the gap. Bridges can be supported by natural teeth or by dental implants.
