A few weeks ago Winston Churchill’s dentures were sold at auction for 24,000 dollars. Now George Washington’s dentures are making news. A Washington exhibition, entitled: Discover the Real George Washington, is making it’s way around the USA and has made a stop in North Carolina. The exhibit includes three life size likenesses of Washington as a young man, general and president. The show even has a original set of dentures on display. The dentures were made from a variety of materials including ivory, human teeth and animal teeth. Dentures have come a long way since then and the evolution of false teeth continues today with dentures implants. But the question is: could Washington’s dentures fetch more at auction than Churchill’s.
